Bill, regarding tiebreaker with the Rangers, season series is tied as well and we have much worse goal differential.
One Rangers SO win is not enough....

Its always a happy day in the Sarcasm household when things go badly for the Leafs. Take that, O Center of the Hockey Universe!

As for the Flyers, at the beginning of the season (before they started out 1-7), I didn't like their chances of making the playoffs in light of the new playoff format and the addition of Columbus and Detroit in the conference.

I thought the Islanders, Caps, and Blue Jackets would have better seasons than they did. Instead, the Caps and Isles regressed and the Jackets did not show the marked improvement I expected.

And now begins the second season where anything can happen.

Seven 20 goal scorers...after the horrendous start, that's a nice cap to put on the season.

Yep.. very satisfying to see the Leafs out and us in. When we had the bad start, Leafs fans I know were mercilous with their mocking... Karma is a female dog I guess.. Since 2004, only 1 playoff appearance and that was in a half season because they didn't have a full season to choke..

There is a great comment on this morning's TSN recap of last night's Leaf game... basically says "The Leafs are going to ask the League to make every season 48 games because they don't believe you should have to play hard for 82 games."

Seems like a good call on their part ..lol I loved Nonis' reaction as well as all of the fans with their head in their hands after last Saturday's game.. gold. Can't wait til they declare that Reimer is the scapegoat, and the rest of the team is fine.. fan base will buy it hook line and sinker.

Not ONE canadian team making in this season! The bottom of the west might need to be renamed The Canadian Division

I honestly think the biggest step they need to take is to replace the Coach. And I'm not blaming Carlyle, he's a very good Coach. But there is just something dysfunctional with that team. Similar to the way the Flyers were under Laviolette at the end. That and they need to get better at Center.

I agree at this point, even though Carlyle really hasn't been there all that long.

The roster construction is not conducive to whatever it is Carlyle wants this team to do.

That team is a mess.

Extended PP drought for Leafs top-two scorers: van Riemsdyk has gone 23 straight games w/o PP point. Kessel with one in the last 22.

Hmm...guess JVR isn't the second coming of Gordie Howe after all

It doesn't take much for me to hate the Rangers, I pretty much just need to be breathing!
